Sending money overseas - we can help you send money to more than 200 countries around the world using a Western Union Money Transfer.
Steps for completing a Western Union Money Transfer from our office:
1. Fill in a Western Union Money Transfer Transaction Form and complete a Transaction Form. If you send money regularly, a Western Union Gold Card can speed this process up for you.
2. Present your completed form along with the money you'd like us to send at our service counter. We'll ask you to provide one of the following forms of valid photo ID when placing your order:
- Passport
- Australian driver's license
- Proof-of-age card
- Foreign driver's license with photo and signature
- Foreign National Identification with photo and signature.
- Identification must be in English.
You can pay for your money transfer using:
CASH
EFTPOS (cheque or savings only)
Once we complete your transfer we'll give you a receipt. This receipt includes your Western Union Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) - keep this safe so you can track your transfer.
3. Let your receiver know about your transfer. The money you send will be available within 5 minutes for your receiver to collect at any Western Union Agent location worldwide. You'll need to provide your receiver with the transaction details including the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) that is printed on your receipt - your receiver can't collect their money without this number.
